In eastern Tennessee, Gatlinburg
and Pigeon
Forge are the places to be! The things to do in
these family friendly communities are nearly endless -with exciting activities
that are fun for both parents and children. While in Gatlinburg, visit
Ripley’s Museum, the Gatlinburg aquarium and the other nearby attractions
- while in Pigeon Forge, you can enjoy the Great Smoky Mountain National
Park, Dollywood and Cades Cove - just to name a few of the attractions.
Knoxville, located in eastern Tennessee, is surrounded by the quiet
wilderness of the Great Smoky, Blue Ridge and Cumberland Mountains. Thais
fact allows Knoxville visitors to enjoy the great outdoor in the many
breathtaking state parks. There are many great activities, among them
a visit to the Knoxville Zoo (which is always a crowd pleaser) and a tour
of the Ramsey House Plantation.
One of the most lively destinations in Tennessee is the historical
city of Memphis. Memphis has an overwhelming amount of attractions
perfect for a Tennessee visit. Home of "the King", Elvis Presely
- fans come in droves to visit his Graceland Mansion. A great trip can
include visits to the Memphis Zoo, the Brooks Museum and Beale Street.
If you happen to be travelling to Memphis in May, you can enjoy the celebrations
of the Memphis in May Festival.
The city of Nashville enjoys a thriving music industry - where
many top music stars (both country and mainstream) do recording work.
Nashville also boasts some of the best shopping and nightlife in Tennessee.
There are also many great events to experience and sites to see - for
example, visitors can enjoy the amazing Parthenon, a scaled version of
the original.
It's difficult to find a combination of wooded tranquility, fun experiences,
and the abundant southern charm that is offered when you travel
to Tennessee!
